Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (actual start time 6:00 AM)

• Call requirements: 7 shifts in a 6-week schedule including one weekend

• Maintain 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

• 3 years of Cardiac/Thoracic nursing experience required

• Must be proficient in open heart procedures, pacemaker implantation, laser lead extraction, VATS, and thoracotomy

• Georgia or compact nursing license required

• BLS through AHA certification required

• Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required

• Work with computerized charting systems (Surginet) and TMR laser equipment

• OR scrubs provided by facility

• Participate in comprehensive unit orientation with nurse educator and cardiac/thoracic charge nurse

• Two-week notice required for schedule changes

• No floating to other departments required
