A Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs within a collaborative care team. They act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring effective communication and patient satisfaction. The RN participates in performance improvement initiatives, maintains professional competence, and supports shared governance.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonitoring and evaluating patient conditions, developing and executing care plans, and delivering safe, evidence-based care. Advocating for patients and addressing their concerns, while educating families on health issues. Contributing to process improvements and organizational goals through proactive participation. Mentoring colleagues and fostering a positive work environment are also essential aspects of the role.
Qualifications & SkillsMinimum of one year of nursing experience, an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and active RN licensure (multi-state or single-state). Certifications in BLS are required upon hire. Professional development, adherence to safety standards, confidentiality, and effective communication are vital for success.
Additional DutiesMaintaining licenses and certifications, engaging in ongoing training, and supporting professional growth. Upholding organizational policies and contributing to a culture of excellence and compassionate care are integral to this role.
