Full-Time | Direct Hire | Day Shift
Monday–Friday | Five 8-Hour Shifts
$10,500 Sign-On Bonus
We are seeking an experienced Wound Program Coordinator to join a well-established rehabilitation hospital in Augusta, Georgia. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering day-one benefits, strong professional development opportunities, and a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
This position is ideal for a wound care professional who enjoys providing hands-on patient care while also leading clinical education, supporting staff, and helping develop wound care services throughout the hospital.
Position Overview
The Wound Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and advancing the hospital’s wound care program while ensuring all services follow physician orders, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, and families to provide education, guide treatment plans, and support positive outcomes throughout the recovery process.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and develop wound care services throughout the hospital
Ensure wound care practices meet physician orders, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the clinical team
Serve as a clinical resource for wound assessment, treatment, prevention, and management
Provide wound care education and training to hospital staff
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, prevention, and ongoing wound care
Stay current on evolving wound care treatments, techniques, and best practices
Participate in continuing education, seminars, and professional organizations
Provide direct patient care as needed
Support patient-centered care throughout the recovery process
Qualifications
Current RN, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist license required for an acute rehabilitation hospital
Current RN license required for a long-term acute care hospital
Current CPR certification
Minimum of one year of wound care experience
Continued wound care education through seminars and/or professional organizations
Strong knowledge of wound care treatments, practices, and clinical standards
Strong communication, education, and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
