Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Augusta, GA | Acute Care

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit with an average daily census of 15, plus a 6-bed L&D Triage area
• Manage care for neonatal, infant, and adult patient populations across a range of obstetric scenarios including vaginal labor, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and D&C procedures
• Maintain a 1:1–2 patient ratio in a team-based care environment
• Document and communicate using Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR frameworks
• Fulfill call requirements (2 calls per 6-week period), weekend shift expectations (3 per contract), and holiday coverage obligations as assigned
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required; first-time travelers not accepted for this role
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience with high-acuity obstetric cases including postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems

• Work within a collaborative, team-based Labor and Delivery unit with a consistently active census, offering meaningful clinical engagement throughout your assignment
• Scrubs are provided by the facility, reducing out-of-pocket costs during your contract
