American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN
- Operating Room with required charge experience and both scrub and circulating skills for a high-volume surgical unit.

• Main Operating Room setting with 16 rooms and an average daily census of 35
• Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics
• High volume of total joint replacements (hips, knees, shoulders)
• High volume of robotic surgeries including general, urology, colorectal, and gynecology cases
• High volume of spine/neuro cases including cervical, lumbar, and thoracic fusions and craniotomies
• Service does not include scrub or circulating duties for OH and Vascular specialties
• Pharmacy located within the department
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Uses Epic EMR (required), Pyxis, SBAR, 2 Da Vinci Xi robots, and 1 Mako Orthopedic robot
• Weekend commitment of 2-3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call
• Call requirements include 7-8 calls per 8-week schedule, including 1 weekend call, 1-2 weekend shifts, and 2-3 weekday night calls
• Call shifts are either 7 PM-7 AM or 7 AM-7 PM
• Rare floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Both scrub and circulating experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required;
  Trauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• 1st time OR travelers not accepted
• Experience performing own vital sign and blood glucose checks
• Skills and experience with various surgical specialties including orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, urology, general surgery, and vascular preferred

• Responsible for scrub and circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including ortho, neuro/spine, robotics, urology, and general surgery
• Exposure to advanced robotic systems including Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized prior to submission
• No RTO may be requested during orientation week
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• If 1-2 holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO may be requested; if 3 holidays fall during the assignment, 1 holiday RTO request may be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers not considered for this role
• Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or internal staff) must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Travelers previously cancelled or deemed not returnable to a Piedmont facility must complete one successful assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
• Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation scheduling
