Registered Nurse; RN; MedSurg​/Acute Care​/Post Surgical​/Burn​/Bariatric - Night Shift

The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and shared governance, ensuring individualized care tailored to diverse patient populations.

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
• Provide relationship-based, culturally sensitive care, partnering with patients and families to align care with their goals.
• Coordinate safe care delivery through effective communication, documentation, and collaboration within the healthcare team.
• Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance to promote quality and safety.
• Support professional development by mentoring colleagues, completing competency assessments, and staying current with clinical standards.
• Engage in resource planning, protocol development, and adherence to organizational policies and requirements.

• Minimum education:
  
  Nursing diploma or associate degree; bachelor’s preferred.
• Licensure:
  Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
• Experience:
  
  Less than one year of clinical nursing experience, including clinical hours during education; direct patient care experience preferred.
