Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is proud to offer our Emergency Veterinarian Mentorship Training Program, EmERge
, a one–year structured training designed to develop the skills and confidence needed to excel as an emergency veterinarian at one of our state‑of‑the‑art hospitals. The program runs annually, beginning in January and June.
- The applicant must be a graduate of an AVMA‑accredited veterinary school.
- The applicant must have passed or be pending the NAVLE.
- The applicant must have, or be eligible for, a license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of interest.
- One‑to‑one peer‑guided mentorship in emergency medicine.
- Case‑based lectures, interactive seminars, hands‑on practice labs, and regular mentoring sessions.
- Full‑time salary paid from the first day of the program.
The EmERge program is divided into three phases over 52 weeks.
Phase 1 (Weeks 1‑14)- 4 weeks of Bootcamp: virtual (Weeks 1‑2) and in‑person (Weeks 3‑4) training to build foundational emergency‑medicine skills.
- 2 weeks of Specialty Rotations: exposure to various specialties for multidisciplinary teamwork.
- 8 weeks of ER shifts: application of training in real‑world settings under experienced mentors.
- Increased responsibility with more complex cases and greater independence.
- Full‑shift work in the ER, enhancing critical thinking and decision‑making.
- Regular mentor check‑ins to review cases and refine clinical skills.
- Exposure to a wide variety of emergency cases.
- Weekly webinar series to stay current on best practices.
- Independent case management with full clinical responsibility.
- Collaboration with the hospital team for exceptional patient care.
- Application of advanced diagnostic and procedural skills.
- Ongoing mentor support as needed.
- Continued weekly webinars.
- Phase 1 (Weeks 1‑14): $120,000 per year.
- Phase 2 (Weeks 15‑32): $120,000 per year.
- Phase 3 (Weeks 33‑52):
Full‑time ER clinician market‑rate salary plus quarterly production bonus.
