Location: Remote (major city in Eastern US with airport access)

Our client, a manufacturer of specialty industrial materials, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead its quality management system and laboratory quality across multiple U.S. manufacturing locations.
This role directly supervises a Quality Coordinator and provides functional leadership to site laboratory teams. The position combines quality systems ownership, analytical testing oversight, audit management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and improve the organization’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System
, including document control, procedures, and audit readiness. - Lead third party registration and customer audits.
- Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
- Oversee physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Ensure analytical methods are validated and laboratory instruments are calibrated and maintained.
- Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action.
- Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing, chemicals, specialty materials, or a related processing environment.
- 2+ years of laboratory supervisory or leadership experience.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
- Experience with wet chemistry, physical materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and statistical process control.
- Willingness to travel regularly.
- ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.
