The Immunology Center of Georgia (IMMCG) is a new initiative of the Medical College of Georgia that brings together world‑class immunologists to develop novel treatments for cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, autoimmune and infectious diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer.

- Job : 291135
- Location: Augusta University – Health Sciences Campus (1120 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30912) and Summerville Campus (2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904)
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Utilize computational tools to analyze and interpret experimental results and data generated within the lab.
- Participate in project planning, take the lead on 1–2 projects, collaborating with the team to develop research protocols and strategies. Ensure adherence to accepted scientific principles and compliance with relevant federal guidelines.
- Coordinate and participate in scientific literature research; summarize and evaluate findings; develop derivative applications of techniques developed by our own research activities or reported by other projects. Present findings at scientific meetings locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Compose articles for publication in scientific journals. Collaborate with team members to review and refine manuscripts, ensuring accuracy and clarity in presenting project findings.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of students, graduate assistants, and other research personnel engaged in research activities and/or related laboratory work. Foster a collaborative and inclusive research environment.
- Advise principal investigator, other postdocs, students, and other research personnel on research techniques, procedures, and other technological aspects of research activities.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Ph.D. and/or M.D. from an accredited college or university.
- Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learn.
- Skills: Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to complete work and meet deadlines; willingness and ability to work with research animals; ability to work independently with only general supervision.
- Shift: Days (Monday–Friday; work outside of normal business hours may be required).
- Salary: Commensurate with qualifications within the established range (generally minimum–midpoint) of the position.
- Recruitment Period: Until Filled.
- Benefits: Health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Eligible employees may be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program after six months of employment.
