Job SummaryPerforms entry level technical assistance with routine procedures in a laboratory; requires considerable accuracy in the preparation of all types of laboratory procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist in cell culture, tissue, and data collection.
- Assist in mouse breeding colonies.
- Assist the Principal Investigator or higher‑level technician with research studies and experiments.
- Assist with general lab procedures, maintenance, and cleaning.
- High school diploma or GED required with laboratory experience.
- Cell culture, mouse tissue collection, and molecular cell biology techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases, or willingness to learn.
- Energetic self‑starter, goal‑focused, and detail‑oriented.
- Excellent organizational, multi‑tasking, prioritization, problem‑solving, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability and willingness to work with animals.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
Shift: Days;
Monday - Friday
Salary: $15.00-$17.98 hourly.
Pay Band: B1
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum‑midpoint) of the position.
Recruitment Period:

Full‑time employees who have served successfully for more than 6 months may be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program.
Conditions of Employment- All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

- Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
- Faculty hires must provide proof of completed academic degree(s), post‑secondary coursework transcripts, and if trained abroad, an educational/credential evaluation.
