Job SummaryFor this postdoctoral position, applicants must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in a related field (neuropharmacology, neuroscience, neurochemistry, vascular biology). A background in ADRD pathologies, and molecular and cell biology is required, with experience in cell culture and animal models. Candidates should have good written/oral communication skills, work effectively in a team environment, be highly organized, and have a documented record of research accomplishments.
Responsibilities- Design, conduct experiments, analyze, validate, and present research data, contribute to manuscript preparation, and participate in research collaborations.
- Perform in vitro and in vivo animal studies, behavioral studies, immunohistochemistry and microscopy imaging, molecular biology, biochemical analysis, and bioanalysis.
- Summarize and evaluate findings; develop derivative applications of techniques developed by own research activities or reported by other research projects. Present findings at scientific meetings locally and nationally.
- Perform in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology/Patch clamp electrophysiology/GCaMP.
- Contribute to training and/or supervision of technicians, graduate and undergraduate students in the lab.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in neuropharmacology, neuroscience, neurochemistry, vascular biology, or related field.
- Background in ADRD pathologies and molecular & cell biology.
- Experience in cell culture and animal models.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Highly organized and experienced document a record of research accomplishments.
- Experience with in vivo and ex vivo electrophysiology, Patch clamp electrophysiology, or GCaMP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Shift: Days;
Monday – Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required). - Salary:
Minimum-midpoint within the established range, commensurate with qualifications. - Benefits:
