The Food Service Worker-Retail is responsible for the preparation, service, storage, and sanitation of food and supplies.

• Prepares food items for cooking or serving and serving areas. Serves food from serving line or prepares and/or transports food for catering or patient feeding trays. Responsible for decisions concerning food quality and customer satisfaction.
• Follows proper sanitation procedures and techniques when handling food. Follows cleaning manual to sanitize any equipment used and rotate cleaning food storage areas.
• Communicates with managers, food service workers, and all customers of Terrace Dining. May assist in training new employees concerning hot and cold food procedures and/or sanitation of the responsible area. May deliver and service catered functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

• High School Diploma General-Preferred or GED General-Preferred

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions
• Ability to read and write
• Use simple arithmetic
• Keep simple record
• Use simple office machines including computers

High School Diploma or GED. 1 year or more of experience in food services.
