Meat/Seafood Clerk

We are looking for a dedicated Meat/Seafood Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market
. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, managing protein products, and ensuring safe and efficient food handling.

Work with protein foods, learn a skilled craft, and help customers make healthy choices in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

• Provide a high level of customer service and product knowledge.
• Receive, store, grind, unload, and transport meats and poultry from delivery trucks.
• Count and weigh incoming articles, compare results against invoices, and inspect meats in storage.
• Rotate meats to avoid aging and maintain freshness.
• Adhere to “Clean as You Go” and “Fresh at 4” programs.
• Perform general housekeeping: clean and sanitize work area, tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, and freezer.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders, and needs, keeping a positive, customer-focused environment.

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Show basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
• Dependable, reliable, and capable of performing related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly; positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills: take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, walk up to 2 miles, and lift loads up to 90 lbs.
• Good vision required for cutting, using knives, band saw, grinder, sausage maker, and other equipment.
• Ability to use pallet jack to move pallets up to 500 lbs.
• Additional physical requirements regarding moving racks and tables as described above.
