Monday – Friday (may require working outside normal business hours)

A training position designed to learn through engagement in advanced scientific technical and administrative work in support of research efforts in the Vascular Biology Center. Responsibilities include experimental design, data collection, analysis, protocol development, literature review, manuscript preparation, and supervising junior personnel.

• Analyze experimental results and develop programs for data analysis if needed.
• Perform and teach bacteriological, chemical, radio‑chemical, histologic, and cell culture procedures.
• Participate in project planning and development of research protocols while ensuring compliance with federal guidelines.
• Coordinate literature reviews, summarize findings, and present at scientific meetings.
• Compose and review manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of students, graduate assistants, and other research personnel.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and operate microscopes and other scientific equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ph.D. from an accredited college or university.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn other computer software/databases.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to complete work and meet deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to work with research animals.
• Ability to work independently with general supervision.

Salary: $45,400.00 – $48,000.00 (may vary based on qualifications). Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), vacation, sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and tuition assistance for eligible full‑time employees.
