As a Security Officer – Campus Patrol Driver in Oglesby, IL
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic technology‑focused location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security‑related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while maintaining a strong presence throughout the assigned area. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required.

- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the site and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor the location for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Support a secure environment for staff, students, and visitors by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with security‑related matters as required.
- Assist with access control measures and verify credentials of individuals entering secure areas of the location.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in a timely and accurate manner according to Allied Universal procedures.
- At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
