Maintenance Technician

What We're Looking For:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a building trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting)

* Valid driver's license

* Must be bondable

* Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 70-100 lbs with assistance

* Working knowledge of safety protocols, tools, and materials for general maintenance

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work with residents and team members

What You'll Do as a Maintenance Technician:

* Perform planned and corrective maintenance on buildings, apartments, and grounds

* Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems

* Respond to work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records

* Participate in emergency on-call rotation

* Conduct inspections of units to ensure compliance with housing standards

* Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas and public spaces

* Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure timely service

* Operate various types of equipment, including backhoes and street sweepers

Specialized Maintenance Roles May Include:

* HVAC Maintenance:
Clean coils, change filters, repair/replacement of HVAC components, log equipment data

* Vacancy Prep:
Clean and prepare units (walls, floors, fixtures) for occupancy

* Site Maintenance:
Inspect and repair plumbing, flooring, fences, and playgrounds

* Paint Technician:
Prep and paint interiors and exteriors using various techniques

* Carpentry:
Repair/replace doors, windows, cabinets, handrails, and ceilings

* Pest Control:
Safely apply chemicals and pest treatments across properties
