Weldon Contractors is a full service, prime mechanical and plumbing contractor and technical service company specializing in the Industrial and Commercial sectors of the construction market. Since 1984, we have been successfully completing HVAC, mechanical metal fabricating, process piping, plumbing, and service work in owner-occupied facilities as well as new construction.

Ideal candidate for this position will be goal-oriented, ambitious, driven and highly motivated with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete work on plumbing projects ranging from $1,500.00 to $10,.

Primary

Purpose:

The Plumbing/Piping Superintendent's primary purpose is to provide overall direction for the field installation of the assigned project. Reports directly to the General Superintendent and is responsible for field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety on assigned projects. Represents Weldon Contractors on the project site and ensures that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope.

• Totally accountable for quality installation of the project
• Reviewing submittals for accuracy and compliance
• Identifying potential change orders and communicating them to the General Superintendent and Project Manager
• Customer relations
• Conduct weekly safety meetings
• Attend cost/job reviews
• Capacity to supervise multiple foremen
• Interpret plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions
• Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity
• Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress
• Ensure all on-site employees and assigned temps comply with OSHA standards & Weldon Contractors work rules
• Schedule equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities
• Administer construction contract
• Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews, and prepare timesheets and two weeks look-aheads
• Bring the job in on time and under budget

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• 8+ years verifiable experience as a Plumbing Superintendent and state plumbing license
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, preferably mid-sized projects
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills
• Team Player
• Organizational and planning skills
• Must be detailed oriented
