Scaffold Builder (Augusta, GA)

Temporary position – 7/12 schedule. Pay: $30 per hour;
Per diem: $100 per day worked. Must live 60 miles or more from the site and provide supporting documentation.
Schedule
: 1/12/2026 – 2/10/2026.
- Determine type of scaffold needed.
- Inspect job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
- Effectively communicate safety hazards and mitigate avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
- Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold to the required dimensions.
- Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
- Properly secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
- Secure scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
- Adhere to all OSHA, site‑specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating scaffolding.
- Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
- Dismantle scaffolding when properly communicated to do so.
- Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air, air‑purifying respirators, safety harness, sand‑blast hoods, fire‑resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, safety glasses).
- Maintain full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead and work in various positions (stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, working at heights, balancing for extended periods).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education:
No minimum education requirements. - Experience:
2–3 years as a Journeyman Scaffold Builder; required. - Must pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check (condition of employment).
