About the RoleWe are hiring an experienced Foreman / Senior Electrician to lead crews on large-scale commercial new construction projects. This is a hands‑on field leadership role responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and crew coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise journeymen, apprentices, and helpers
- Assign daily tasks, manage manpower, and adjust sequencing to meet schedules
- Mentor apprentices and enforce jobsite rules and professional conduct
- Plan and layout work using drawings and field conditions
- Coordinate with other trades to prevent conflicts
- Lead daily huddles and task planning meetings
- Track progress and resolve field issues proactively
- Oversee installation of commercial electrical systems, including:
- Switchgear, panels, and transformers
- Lighting and lighting controls
- Fire alarm systems (as applicable)
- Feeders, branch circuits, grounding, and underground work
- Ensure compliance with NEC, project specs, and quality standards
- Support inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
- Enforce OSHA and jobsite safety policies
- Conduct pre-task planning and safety briefings
- Serve as on‑site electrical contact with inspectors and other trades
- Communicate manpower needs and progress updates to leadership
- Forecast material needs and coordinate deliveries
- Complete daily reports, timecards, and progress documentation
- 10+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
- 2+ years as a Foreman or Lead Electrician
- Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints, one-lines, and schematics
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Work from ladders, lifts, and elevated positions
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
