Standard Aero Augusta is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to join our Falcon Team
. Specialize your expertise working on Dassault Falcon aircraft (7X, 2000, 900), performing inspections, heavy maintenance, repairs, and modifications to ensure peak aircraft performance. You’ll Do
- Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
- Examine and inspect engines or other components for cracks, breaks or leaks.
- Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic and structural components and accessories using hand tools and power tools.
- Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks, such as flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging and hydraulic units.
- Read and interpret manufacturers and airline’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Identify discrepancies and perform maintenance.
- Run functional and operational checks to ensure airworthiness.
- Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.
- Utilize mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibration test equipment.
- Analyze a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.
- Test and repair engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjusts rigging.
- Remove and evaluate aircraft components for serviceability.
- Perform repairs, scheduled maintenance, and modifications.
- Reinstall components, perform operational checks, and execute engine runs.
- Document and sign off work per FAA standards.
- Follow technical manuals and manufacturer data for inspections and repairs.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Aviation Maintenance Technician.
- Demonstrated technical ability on airframes in the areas of heavy maintenance, light maintenance, and service bulletins.
- Experience working in Business/Corporate Aviation and/or MRO environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Prior/current experience as an A&P Mechanic working on Dassault Falcon aircraft.
- Experience working on Falcon 900, 2000 and/or 7X.
- Minimum 7 years of A&P Mechanic experience.
- OEM/specialized training or certification on Falcon aircraft.
