Your Role

Will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and other diesel-powered equipment. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Perform diagnostic tests on garbage trucks and other diesel-powered equipment to identify issues
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations
  • Repair or replace defective parts in engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment to perform repairs
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs.
  • Maintain detailed records of all services and repairs performed
  • Ensure all vehicles are compliant with DOT regulations, including brake maintenance and inspections
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in the waste management industry
  • ASE Certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available)
