NYAP is seeking a contract Therapist for our Georgia Youth Counseling-Outpatient Mental Health Program (OPMH) to join our NYAP Augusta team. We are looking for someone that can work 25 to 32 hours per week with flexible days and times.
Contract Responsibilities Summary
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, this position aims to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families served. The role involves working closely with youth, families, foster parents, and community partners to provide counseling, therapy, advocacy, and support to promote safe and successful community living.
Responsibilities
- Support and embody the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Provide individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding outcome thresholds.
- Travel daily to deliver community-based services to youth and families, complying with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all documentation and training promptly.
- Achieve established productivity thresholds consistently.
- Coordinate and monitor services across mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social domains.
- Review and update youth plans regularly to ensure progress toward goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with foster parents and families of origin.
- Assist in family reunification and stabilization efforts aligned with the youth’s case plan.
- Provide safety assessments, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as needed.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities monthly or quarterly.
- Engage actively in weekly supervision sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field from an accredited institution.
- Preferably, 2 years of direct service experience with youth and families.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, appropriate insurance, and a good driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to serve foster caregivers, families, and clients.
- Ability to be flexible, responsive, objective, and professional.
- Sensitivity and respect for diverse cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds.
- Proficient with computers, smartphones, tablets, and relevant software.
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
