From construction management and observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Services market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.

Kleinfelder is currently searching for one temporary full-time candidate and one regular full-time candidate as a Construction Inspector to join our team. This position can be based out of Augusta, ME, Portland, ME or Manchester, NH.

SIGN ON BONUS UP TO $5,000 FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES. IF HIRED, ELIGIBLE FOR EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUSES FOR REFERRED EMPLOYEES.

The ideal candidate will perform construction inspection tasks to ensure compliance with standard codes and ordinances, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans and specifications. Inspections may be general in nature or limited to a specific area, such as Transportation infrastructure, Roads, Bridges and ancillary transportation facilities.

• Follows and adheres to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures including but not limited to taxes, labor laws, safety, building codes, or environmental regulations.
• Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to ensure adherence to standards, codes and specifications; takes action according to findings.

High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school preferred with course work in transportation related courses, Building Inspection, Home Inspection, Construction Technology, Drafting and Mathematics. Also preferred certifications in ACI concrete certified, NETTCP paving certified, PCI certified and NACE level certification

This position requires 1 - 5 years of experience in the field or in trade-related training in a Design, Construction Inspection, or other Construction related field.
