Job Description

Position is in‑office located in Augusta, Maine.

Schedule:

Sunday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.;
Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Compensation: $17.50 – $19.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

We are looking for someone with a demonstrable customer‑centric attitude, professional demeanor, and proficiency in the MS Office suite—Outlook, Word, and especially Excel in a SharePoint environment.

Position Purpose

A Customer Service Associate at Performance Food service is vital to the success of our company. As part of the sales support team, this position is the first point of contact for all customers with questions about their orders, our products, or Performance Food service. They act as a liaison between the customer and the Sales Account Representative as well as internal departments, and they perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities
  • Attend training and Customer Service meetings.
  • Process orders and transactions.
  • Answer questions about products and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Support sales in all aspects.
  • Provide information to other departments based on customer feedback.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 6‑12 months of customer service, call center, and/or related experience.
  • Customer‑centric attitude with professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite—Outlook, Word, and especially Excel in a SharePoint environment.
Compensation

$17.50 – $19.00 per hour.
