Start Your K&A CareerWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scheduler Cost Controller to join our team in Augusta, Maine. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors.
Role Expectations- Produce a variety of regular and ad‑hoc reports supporting project planning and control initiatives.
- Verify accuracy of all cost information, confirm proper coding and allocation to the project budget.
- Produce accounting and project cost reports, including deviations, under‑runs and over‑runs.
- Prepare forecasts and cost trend reports; review and evaluate trends and their impact on project costs.
- Monitor project costs and commitment to budget and forecast.
- Maintain change control and change order management.
- Assess progress measurement, develop/update progress curves for reporting, responsible for EVM during all project stages.
- Develop an Integrated Master Schedule according to customer standards and approved scheduling tool.
- Evaluate activities in the Integrated Project Schedule affecting the project, capturing six‑month look‑ahead increments.
- Create project sequence/logic identifying interrelationships among activities and third‑party involvement.
- Perform current schedule and cost performance against the baseline, highlighting major deviations.
- Conduct critical path analysis, forecast delays, evaluate alternative scenarios.
- Provide guidance on good scheduling practices and techniques.
- Coordinate with the Scheduler‑Cost Controller Group and Manager Planning and Control.
- Develop, implement, feed, reconcile, and maintain project control databases and reports.
- Ensure reconciliation of program controls data with financial and performance systems, coordinating with project managers.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project controlling and 4 years of experience in construction project scheduling.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CAPM or PMI‑SP Certificate or equivalent (requires Avangrid approval).
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with Primavera (preferred) and/or MS Project.
- Experience in substations, T&D, gas‑hydro, and OSG functional areas.
Pay Range $90,000—$105,000 annually.
