Location: Augusta, ME
Salary Range: $78,000 - $97,600
Schedule: On Site, Office
Cost Controller/Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing schedules and cost data for moderate to complex projects. Reporting to the Planning and Cost Control Manager, this role supports project teams by providing insights, forecasts, and recommendations to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The position also leads risk analysis and contributes to continuous improvement in project performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Integrate cost and resource data into schedules to support forecasting and performance tracking.
- Maintain schedule baselines and monitor progress against established KPIs.
- Analyze project cost and schedule data using spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate project performance and trends.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve project cost and schedule outcomes.
- Lead schedule-based risk analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Support project teams in identifying and mitigating schedule and cost risks.
- Work independently and collaboratively with project managers and cross‑functional teams.
- Oversee resources to ensure adherence to project controls standards.
- Provide training and guidance on scheduling and cost control processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in project scheduling and cost control tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).
- Ability to load and analyze cost/resource data in schedules.
- Knowledge of AACE principles and project controls methodologies.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP.
- Ability to lead risk analysis and apply PMI-SP‑aligned practices.
- Minimum 5 years in project controls, scheduling, or cost analysis.
- Experience managing complex project schedules and supporting cross‑functional teams.
- BS or BA from accredited college/university in a related analytic discipline.
- PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
