Position: Part-time Speech Therapist (SLP)

Overview

MVH is seeking a Speech Therapist (SLP) to join the rehab team at our Augusta facility. We are the first nursing facility to embrace the Small House Model design in the State of Maine. We are a 108 bed skilled nursing home with all private rooms and on-suite full bathroom. There is also a 30 bed residential care neighborhood for those in the early stages of dementia.

The SLP evaluates and treats residents; communicates with residents, families, physicians, and other health team members; maintains documentation of services in the EMR; and conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and MVH policies and procedures.

You would be joining a therapy team that is highly skilled and integrated throughout the facility.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited SLP program
  • Possesses a minimum of a Master’s Degree in SLP
  • Must have current State of Maine licensure as an SLP
  • Experience in long-term care environment preferred
