** Chaplain - Per Diem
** The Chaplain
* provides spiritual care to patients, their family members and organizational staff experiencing challenge or crisis.
*
* The Opportunity:

** Maine General Health is currently seeking an exceptional Chaplain to join our team. Maine General is a leading health care system that is proud of the culture of excellence, compassion and collaboration that extends to our patients and their families.
** The Work:
** Performs spiritual care visits, public worship services and outreach services in assigned areas or to specific faith groups as needed/requested.

Assesses and responds to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement.

Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care and patient health.

Documents visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization.
** You Have:*
* • Ordination and/or endorsement from a recognized religious organization required.  
• Valid Driver’s License required.  
• Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.  
• Proven and demonstrated critical thinking skills.##
