Maine General Health invites applications for a Patient Services Representative who will act as a patient advocate, access specialist, and service coordinator. The role is the first point of contact for patients and will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure smooth, coordinated care.

• Greet patients with professionalism and warmth, creating a positive first impression.
• Manage front‑desk operations including check‑in, check‑out, and scheduling.
• Use EMR and scheduling software to register patients and book appointments.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations when needed.
• Process co‑pays, deductibles, and direct patients to financial counseling if appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely entry of all patient and billing information.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with clarity and care.

• Medical office or healthcare registration experience preferred; other transferable experience accepted.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance verification processes.
• Comfortable working in a busy, patient‑facing environment.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and a true team player.
• Willingness to participate in a rotating weekend schedule.
