We're looking for you to become a valued member of the mental health team at our client’s facility!
PsychCNA Details Full Time Schedules
Some weekends may be required
8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility
Contract Position (flexible shift availability is a plus)
Psych CNA Duties- Assisting with the intake, observations, and care of patients experiencing mental health issues or emotional distress
- Monitoring patient behavior, identifying changes in condition, and reporting safety concerns to the nursing staff
- Providing therapeutic support, crisis de-escalation, and maintaining a safe, calm environment during psychiatric emergencies
- Assisting patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including hygiene, meals, and mobility
- Performing basic routine clinical duties such as taking and recording vital signs
- Assisting RNs and medical staff with continuous patient checks, suicide watches, and behavioral monitoring
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing in the state where the position is located
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred)
- 1+ year of relevant CNA experience, preferably in psychiatric, behavioral health, or correctional settings
