The Project Management Office (PMO) for our client is seeking up to 4 detail-oriented and people-focused Business SMEs to join a resource pool for assignment across various departments within our client, based on emerging needs. One immediate assignment involves supporting the rollout and stabilization of the upcoming Human Resources Management System using the Workday platform. The platform, branded as PRISM (Pay, Recruit, Inform, Support), will launch in early September.
This position involves providing hands-on assistance both virtually and occasionally in person, helping staff navigate system functionality and resolve real-time issues effectively.
- Provide direct, real-time support to state employees using the Workday-based PRISM system, both virtually and in person.
- Schedule and coordinate support sessions with agency staff.
- Lead guided walkthroughs of PRISM processes, offering step-by-step assistance.
- Assist users with data entry, system navigation, and reconciliation tasks during support sessions.
- Troubleshoot issues and escalate systemic concerns appropriately.
- Document support sessions, track issues, and follow up to ensure resolution.
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst, Help Desk Analyst, or in a user support role involving enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical workflows clearly to end users.
- Experience with virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with state government systems, HR, or payroll processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with data entry, validation, and reconciliation best practices.
- Comfortable navigating enterprise systems, especially HR or payroll systems.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate.
- Previous experience with Workday, especially time tracking, is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel to Central Maine as needed.
Skills:
- Understanding of complex and non-standard work schedules, especially in the public sector.
- Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or transitions.
- Familiarity with State Government HR Systems or similar.
- Experience creating or updating user support materials.
