What We’re Looking For:

• Curriculum Expertise:
  Ability to teach Language and Math for students from JK to Grade 8. OCT certification is preferred, but not required.
• Experienced Educators:
  Background in tutoring or mentoring with at least 1 year of practical experience.
• Strong Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Excellent ability to convey concepts clearly and effectively.
• Friendly and Approachable:
  Must be warm, easy-going, yet assertive when needed.
• Multi-tasking
  
  Skills:
  
  Comfortable working with up to 2 students simultaneously.
• Organizational
  
  Skills:
  
  Demonstrate ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
• Local Applicants:
  Candidates must reside in Aurora, Ontario, Canada or surrounding areas for in-person teaching.

Your Role:

• Provide personalized one-on-one or small group tutoring using provided materials – no preparation required.
• Focus on engaging directly with students, with no involvement in parent or administrative tasks.
• Assess student work and provide meaningful feedback to support their academic growth.

Scholars Education Centre provides in-centre tutoring services for all subjects to students from JK to grade 12. It employs competent Ontario Certified Teachers to teach in small student-to-teacher ratios and relies on its mastery criteria program to help enhance students' competencies and knowledge.
