FSL Teacher

Position: FSL Teacher at York Catholic District School Board
Teach French as a Second Language at the York Catholic District School Board, with options for occasional and long-term teaching assignments across various grades.

We are building an applicant pool for qualified French as a Second Language Teachers. Successful candidates will bring FSL certifications and demonstrate exceptional French language skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with students in Primary, Junior, or Intermediate Divisions, particularly those familiar with the AIM method.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement effective French language lessons

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback

• Work collaboratively with other educators

• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere

• Engage with parents regarding student needs

Requirements:

• FSL – Part 1 certification or higher

• High proficiency in oral and written French

• Relevant teaching qualifications for diverse student groups

• Teaching experience in Primary and/or Junior and/or Intermediate

• Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening
