Lead the Night School Aquatic Leadership program at YRDSB with a focus on active and engaging learning. This role combines online, in-class, and pool-based instruction.
As part of the YRDSB initiative, you will teach Grade 10 and Grade 12 courses, guiding students through various Lifesaving Society certifications.
The right candidate will foster a collaborative learning environment and use technology effectively to support student achievement and engagement throughout the course.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver curriculum for aquatic activities
• Conduct evaluations according to Lifesaving Society criteria
• Ensure a safe and inclusive teaching environment
• Facilitate both online and traditional teaching methods
• Maintain communication with students and their guardians
Requirements:
• Certified Ontario Teacher specializing in Health and Physical Education
• Valid Lifesaving Society certifications
• Standard First Aid with CPR C certification
• Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Flexibility for scheduled class timings
