High School Math & Science Teacher/Tutor
Location: Aurora, ON
Employment Type: Part Time
Pay: $17.60 to $20.00 per hour
Hours: After‑school and evening hours (3:00 PM – 8:00 PM) and some Saturdays (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM). Preferred to work until the end of the term in June; continuing through the summer is even better.
Position RequirementsAll Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours and must be reliable and available on a campus‑based schedule. This is an in‑person role; relocation packages are not available, and a commuting car or transit are required. Vulnerable‑sector screening is mandatory.
Education- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
- Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors) and science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- Some experience teaching or tutoring math and science at Grades 9‑12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and the ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Teach up to three students simultaneously at different levels
- Apply the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

- Evenings (3:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
- Monday to Friday, with Saturday availability
