Summer Student, Operations

Support the Engineering team in improving and optimizing operations processes, contributing to the optimal efficiency, safety, and CGMP compliance and achievement of departmental and company objectives.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including EHS, Quality Assurance, Production, Technology Transfer, Warehouse, and Maintenance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of engineering activities and projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation required for equipment qualifications and/or commissioning, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Time Based Assessments (TBAs), etc., for regulatory submissions.
• Assist in the commissioning and qualification of approved capital projects.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on process systems.
• Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS), obtain budgeted quotes for future engineering projects.
• Identify and implement Operational Excellence initiatives to help increase operational efficiencies in all departments.
• Participate with cross functional team in the resolution of equipment and/or process problems using operational excellence tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Why–Why, etc.).
• Participate in troubleshooting process and project issues throughout the facility as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Process and project engineering experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical company.

Induction period: 3 months.

Time to reach performance effectiveness: 6 months.

Canada Salary Range: CAD 40,000.00 - CAD 55,000.00 per year.
