Our next chapter is in Mississauga. In 2026, we will be transitioning operations there, with the team fully based there by January 2027. This role is on‑site and offers early exposure, strong visibility and a chance to shape how we operate in our new location.

• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Direct the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including income tax, sales tax and other regulatory filings, ensuring timely submission and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff, including training, performance management, and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including finance, legal and operations, to support strategic initiatives and process improvements.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards, tax laws and regulations, assess impact on the organisation and recommend and implement necessary changes.
• Lead and support external audits, examinations and reviews by regulatory agencies, auditors and tax authorities.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors and regulatory authorities, to ensure smooth communication and resolution of issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and tax roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial position.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software.
• In‑depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards, including GAAP and tax regulations.
• Strong experience in financial reporting requirements and preparing financial statements.
• Proven tax compliance and reporting expertise (corporate income and sales tax).
• Experience in captive finance industry preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and research skills, with ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven organisational skills with ability to prioritise and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solid working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and financial information systems.
• Sound business judgment and decision‑making abilities.
