Overview
Senior Actuarial Advisor for the Analysis and Business Solutions team. The role involves working on various exciting projects in collaboration with Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, Sales and Business Development in a motivating environment focused on developing our people. You will be responsible to:
- Provide actuarial expertise to various internal stakeholders, such as Marketing, Claims, Sales, Underwriting, etc., by advising them to help them position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives
- Perform analyzes of various sources of data to prepare an action plan to address business issues of average to high complexity
- Lead complex mandates by diagnosing the issue and advising on potential solutions
- Coordinate the update or development of tools, reports, projection models, databases, systems and products, following up as needed
- Communicate assumptions and results of your analyses effectively to various internal stakeholders and management
- Represent the actuarial department on decision-making committees or in meetings
- Coach more junior members of the team

- Salary range: $96 825 to $142 009 per year (Toronto suburbs) (may vary depending on the number of actuarial exams completed)

What you bring to the table- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
- A minimum of six years of relevant P&C insurance experience
- Note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Successful completion of at least three CAS exams
- Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
- Advanced proficiency of English, both oral and written
- Intermediate knowledge of P&C Insurance knowledge, Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, VBA, R
