About The Current Open RoleRoy Foss Aurora Chrysler is looking for a Controller to lead our financial operations and mentor our accounting team. Using your CPA and Reynolds and Reynolds DMSexpertise, you will manage the full accounting cycle and ensure strict compliance with Stellantis reporting standards. As a strategic partner to our management team, you’ll oversee internal controls, safeguard assets, and provide the financial insights necessary to drive our business forward.
WhatWe're Looking For
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, deal posting, payroll, and inventory control.
- Utilize Reynolds software to maintain financial records and reporting
- Leadand mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and Chrysler Canada reporting standards.
- Leadand mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies to safeguard dealership assets.
- Collaborate with department managers to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, floorplan management, and cash flow monitoring.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of government filings, payroll remittances,and HST/GST returns.
- Designation preferred: CA, CPA
- Proven experience as a Controller in an automotive dealership.
- Familiarity with OEM financial reporting requirements and manufacturer incentive programs.
- Proficiency in Reynolds software for accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use basic formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, and conditional formatting
- Abilityto work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Accounting diploma or degree is a must.
- CPA designation or equivalent accounting certification is preferred.
