Position OverviewEnvironmental 360 Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Sr. Corporate Accountant to join its onsite team in Aurora. This role supports the corporate finance function for a multi entity, multi location business. The Sr. Corporate Accountant will play a key role in consolidations, financial reporting, month end close, and maintaining consistent and accurate financial information across all operating divisions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead consolidation activities for multiple entities and business units within the corporate structure
- Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and corporate reports
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process with detailed analysis
- Ensure accurate coding, cost allocation, and data integrity across multiple operating locations
- Review AP, AR, and general ledger entries for accuracy and compliance with policies
- Identify opportunities to improve corporate accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting workflows
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support finance leadership with decision making
- Document accounting processes and develop SOPs to support consistency, training, and future scaling
- Review month end workbooks from multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies
- Write comprehensive review notes on month end close activities and communicate with cross functional teams to resolve discrepancies
- Manage the reconciliation of capital leases, including reviewing schedules and assessing lease obligations across locations
- Oversee multi location fixed asset reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of asset records, depreciation, additions, and disposals
- Maintain a consolidated continuity schedule for fixed assets
- Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across multiple locations, ensuring accurate eliminations and proper documentation
- Prepare and reconcile HST filings for multiple locations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation, audit schedules, and resolving audit inquiries
- Support both statutory and tax audit requirements
- CPA designation completed or in progress is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Three to five years of accounting experience with a strong focus on consolidations
- Experience in a corporate accounting role within a multi entity or multi location environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate level financial reporting
- High attention to detail with strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with corporate and operational teams
- Experience in waste management, environmental services, field services, or construction is an asset
- Proactive problem solving mentality with the ability to identify and resolve issues early
- Audit experience and familiarity with audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules
- Experience with Sage 300 and Sage Enterprise Intelligence is an asset
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to engage in complex financial tasks in a fast paced, growth oriented environment
