The Ministry of Natural Resources has released a notice of hiring eligible applicants for the post of Wildland firefighter. Persons who are eligible and willing to join this post can apply for this post. They’re appointed at this post for spreading or potential spread of a fire by the first firefighting force to arrive at the fire. Registration for this post has already started and it will end soon.

Candidates who applied for this post are required to suppress a fire beyond the initial attack until so far as it is under control working at this post.
People who apply for this post are also required to extinguish a fire after it has been deemed under control working at this post.
Job requirement    Candidates applying for this post must have completed 18 years of age or older to be eligible for this post.
They must have a valid Driver’s Licence and must be able to speak English to be preferred for this post.
Candidates applying for this post must be legally entitled to work in Canada and are also required to have a valid Social Insurance Number.
Applicants must possess an SP100 Wildland Firefighter Training course to be preferred for this post.
People applying for this post must possess Standard First Aid and possess the WFX-Fit Test to be considered as an asset for this post.
They must have the physical ability to meet the demands of fire suppression activities and must be able to work in a team environment in stressful situations to be considered as an asset for this post.
Work setting    Candidates who apply for this post must attain the physical ability to meet the demands of fire suppression activities.
