Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Manager of Network and Systems Infrastructure, the Infrastructure Team Supervisor is expected to maintain strong technical depth and actively contribute to the hands‑on administration, implementation, troubleshooting, and support of critical infrastructure systems, while providing day‑to‑day supervision to technical staff. The role provides technical leadership and operational oversight for identity and access management, cloud platforms, endpoint and mobile device management, authentication services, core infrastructure systems, disaster recovery, and enterprise application integration across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
The Infrastructure Team Supervisor ensures that staff, students and Board systems are able to securely authenticate, access and use technology services across on‑premises, cloud and hybrid domains.
Major Responsibilities- Supervise and provide technical leadership to the Infrastructure Team, including work planning, prioritization, incident management, change implementation, documentation, and escalation support.
- Must be available to participate in after‑hours maintenance, emergency incident response, and critical service restoration when required.
- Lead and actively participate in the administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and integration of identity and access management services, including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), Group Policy, authentication, authorization, directory synchronization, role‑based access controls, and identity lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with the Security and Business Continuity Specialist to maintain the security and integrity of identity services through multi‑factor authentication, conditional access, privileged access management, auditing, and risk monitoring.
- Plan, implement, and support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Google Workspace for Education, and related cloud services, ensuring secure integration with enterprise infrastructure.
- Oversee and provide hands‑on technical support for endpoint and mobile device management solutions across Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS, Android, ChromeOS, and other supported platforms.
- Lead enterprise application integration using Single Sign‑On (SSO), SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP, and related authentication technologies.
- Administer core infrastructure services, including DNS, domain management, SSL certificates, infrastructure monitoring, and related dependencies.
- Provide infrastructure oversight and support for Board web services and enterprise applications, ensuring reliable hosting, authentication integration, resiliency, monitoring, security, and coordination with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.
- Lead and participate in disaster recovery planning, backup administration, recovery testing, failover exercises, service restoration activities, and documentation.
- Research, evaluate, prototype, implement and operationalize infrastructure improvements that enhance reliability, security, scalability, automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational support materials.
- Support the Manager in executing infrastructure roadmaps, lifecycle management strategies, and modernization initiatives by translating strategic directions into operational plans and technical implementation.
- Assist with infrastructure procurement activities, including vendor evaluations, licensing management, contract reviews, and performance monitoring.
- Serve as the senior escalation point for critical infrastructure incidents and major service disruptions.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver projects, resolve complex issues, and ensure infrastructure services meet organizational requirements.
