Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 Days WFO). This role is a senior-level Database Administrator position focusing on reliability, performance, and management of database systems.

• Manage and optimize database environments (DB2, MSSQL) to ensure reliability, performance, and data integrity.
• Perform DBMS operations including installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Work with application development teams to design database architectures and support database-centric applications.
• Monitor and tune database performance; implement backups, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
• Participate in cloud/on-premise modernization and migration initiatives as part of enterprise data strategy.

• Hands-on experience with DBMS operations (installation, configuration, migration, upgrades).
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency with DB2 and MSSQL environments; experience in PostgreSQL or other RDBMS is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to create scalable database architectures.
