As a key member of Desjardins’ corporate underwriting team, you will define underwriting strategies and evaluate portfolio performance while enhancing commercial insurance offerings. Your expertise will guide the identification of underwriting criteria, market trends, and product gaps essential for business transformation. You will also support strategic initiatives in underwriting capabilities and data-driven practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to underwriting strategy and portfolio performance
• Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities
• Design and enhance commercial insurance products
• Serve as a trusted advisor on complex underwriting issues
• Translate client needs into innovative solutions
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, or related field
• Minimum six years of commercial underwriting experience
• Advanced proficiency in French and English
• CIP designation completed or in progress
• Advanced knowledge of underwriting principles and risk selection
