Clubhouse Maintenance Worker

Magna Golf Club, one of Canada’s most exclusive private clubs, is seeking a Clubhouse Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team. If you have a great “all hands-on-deck” attitude, take initiative, and are eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

As a Clubhouse Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for general facility maintenance and cleaning, as well as laundering food and beverage linens and towels.

• Candidates MUST have flexible full-time availability and be able to work a variety of shifts including day, evening and weekend shifts.
• Experience in housekeeping services is an asset.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.

• Mop all main floor areas excluding upper kitchen daily.
• Zamboni lower and upper kitchens daily.
• Zamboni lounge and atrium weekly.
• Zamboni main floor hallways and concierge area monthly.
• Mop atrium and men’s locker room washroom and shower area daily.
• Vacuum carpets and floors in atrium and lower offices daily.
• Sweep and power wash entire area around club house including terraces, loading dock, front of building and pavilion.
• Empty and clean all ashtrays daily and maintain throughout the day.
• Clean, sweep and mop loading dock weekly.
• Clean fireplaces, stock wood, build fires and maintain them during winter months.
• Sweep out woodshed between deliveries.
• Clean and maintain all exterior light fixtures including clubhouse, security building and front gate lights.
• During golf season, set up cushions on all patio furniture including grille area each morning and remove all cushions at night each day.
• Maintain and clean fountain regularly as needed.
• Clean all club house windows interior and exterior.
• Sweep and maintain patio daily checking for moss stains and debris.
• Clean and maintain course washrooms daily including emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors and ensure well stocked.
• Clean back shop washrooms daily including emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping and ensured well stocked.
• Check patio stones seams regularly, clean and refill with sand as needed.
• Deep clean building during off season, entire clubhouse building and maintenance building including ceilings, walls, chandeliers, baseboards, wainscoting, furniture, venting and floors.
• Grout clean, with machine, all grout in laundry room, staff room, staff hallway, lower kitchen, dish pit area and grille room, give away rooms and grille hallway.
• Launder men’s and lady’s locker room and back shop towels nightly.
• Help set up events as required.
• Assist with snow removal as required ensuring all drains on terraces are clear of snow and ice and perimeter of clubhouse building is clear for fire department access and staff/member safety.
• Assist housekeeping department as required or requested.
• Completes any other tasks requested by management.
