Building Maintenance Supervisor at YCDSB

Oversee maintenance operations at York Catholic District School Board as a Supervisor. Ensure effective workflow and compliance while leading a dedicated maintenance team.

In this role, you will report to the Manager of Maintenance, Energy and Environmental Capital Services, being responsible for the upkeep of facilities and grounds. Your main tasks will include safeguarding compliance with safety regulations, optimizing maintenance workflows, and mentoring maintenance staff. Effective communication and leadership are key components of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer service contracts for HVAC and BAS systems

• Develop maintenance procedures and training programs

• Guide principals on enhancement requests and specifications

• Track air filter replacement and maintenance projects

• Participate in emergency response and on-call duties

Requirements:

• Advanced College Diploma in relevant field

• 4–5 years in building maintenance and project management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in maintenance management software

• Experience in a unionized setting
