We are looking for an Industrial Millwright to join our Team in Aurora, Ontario.
Responsibilities- Maintain production and building equipment. Fabrication of machine parts to improve safety and/or machine efficiencies.
- Operate and support maintenance activities in manufacturing or processing environments.
- Plan and safely perform rigging and hoisting operations.
- Join metals using oxy-acetylene and electric arc welding techniques.
- Service and maintain hydraulic systems and power transmission components; disassemble, reassemble, and align components.
- Inspect and repair centrifugal pumps and valves; read and interpret mechanical, electrical and fluid power schematics for troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fluid power schematics.
- Operate heavy lifting equipment such as tow motors, scissor lifts, and overhead cranes.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures for safety of self and others.
- Must have Industrial Millwright License.
- Competent skills and knowledge in pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work safely while performing maintenance in manufacturing or processing environments.
- Ability to operate general shop machines and hand tools (e.g., lathes, grinders, welders).
- Experience with hydraulics, power transmission components, and proper alignment techniques.
- Experience with inspection and repair of centrifugal pumps and valves.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fluid power schematics for troubleshooting.
- Knowledge and practice of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift in a 2-week rotation (midnight, afternoon, and day shifts).
