C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. With a primary focus on serving the food industry, C-P specializes in roll stock, pouches, re-sealable packaging and shrink sleeves. The Aurora plant is currently a 24/5 operation with 8 hours shifts, rotating every two weeks.

Days (7a-3p), Afternoons (3p-11p), Midnights (11p-7a), offering both afternoon and midnight shift premiums.

Selected candidates must be able to work shift work.

About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Press Helpers at our plant in AURORA
, to support our press operators with the setup and operation of printing presses. This role is essential in ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and smooth pressroom workflow. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the press operator with press setup and operations.
  • Manage inks, including washing ink units and transporting ink pails using proper roll carts.
  • Move raw materials from the staging area to the unwind and remove printed material from the rewind using proper lifting equipment.
  • Remove waste from print rolls and recycle or dispose of it appropriately.
  • Remove cylinders and anilox rollers using ladders and proper ergonomic techniques.
  • Read and understand job dockets; follow direction from operators and supervisors.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
  • Basic writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role requiring:

  • Lifting 50–60 lb ink pails approximately every half hour.
  • Continuous standing; minimal sitting.
  • Regular bending, twisting, and constant back movement.
  • Carrying 10–50 lbs on average every hour.
  • Pushing and pulling rolls weighing 1,500–2,000 lbs using roll carts (about once per hour).
  • Climbing ladders and stairs (8–10 steps) regularly.
Work Environment
  • Concrete floors.
  • Exposure to inks and solvents (PPE provided and required).
  • High noise levels (hearing protection required).
  • Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to keep up with machine speed.
