Registered Practical Nurse at AgeCare

Deliver compassionate nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse with Age Care, applying your expertise to improve resident lives. Collaborate with healthcare teams in a supportive environment.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care in accordance with established standards. Collaborate with Registered Nurses and personal support workers to implement policies and advocate for resident needs. You will liaise with physicians and address significant changes in resident status promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Age Care policies and collaborate with healthcare staff

• Direct Personal Support Workers in resident care

• Notify physicians of significant resident status changes

• Participate in shift reports to ensure communication

• Liaise with external health care partners for comprehensive care
Requirements:

• Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards

• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitation nursing

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Commitment to quality and compassionate resident care
