As a Registered Practical Nurse at Age Care, you will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses to implement essential policies and procedures. Your expertise in geriatrics will help provide appropriate care while directing Personal Support Workers, ensuring all residents’ needs are met. This role also involves liaising with physicians and healthcare teams to support patient well-being effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Age Care policies and procedures with the nursing team
• Liaise with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
• Notify physicians of significant changes in resident status
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers effectively
• Participate in shift reports for updated resident awareness
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from Ontario College of Nurses
• Knowledge of long-term care and rehabilitation nursing
• Understanding of relevant Canadian health regulations
• Experience in geriatric or rehabilitation nursing
• Commitment to fostering a supportive care environment
